service skills proposal has been handed up!
yay! *clap clap pat my back*
i'm so tired.
today, ultimate PANG SEI by my service group man!
out of 13 people, only 8 come (including me)!
had full house in the restaurant, though initially in the morning we only had 2 reservations.
today i did bar.
usually bar 2 people. today, 1.
1 = me.
couldnt cope man! 1 person leh!
normal operation 2 person.
i have to wash the cups, prepare drinks, wipe the cups dry, not enough cups must faster wash.
and they all came at a go!
if mr lee and mr neo weren't there, i wouldn't have been able to cope.
how to wash cups and make drinks at the same time?
my first bartending experience was a very bad one. haha.

so tired now. i really thank God that i had the energy to stay up awake and alert until 3pm, when operations stopped.
i slept at 2am, and woke up at 6am, walk from home to station, report to RITS, then start operations at 1130.
really man... if not for God, fatigue would have caught up with me at 8am. hahah.

Monday, January 29, 2007

ahhh..
sian.
i cant go prayer meeting tml!!
got to complete service proposal!
hai...
i have not completed my accountings tutorials yet, and tml there is a make-up!
for last week's tut because tutor was sick.
so tml, 4hrs of acct tut!
super sick! haha.
and during FM tut tml, got presentation.
presenting on the individual assignment, the workflow and recommendation part..
so.. basically everything.. and given 5 min.
i have yet to prepare that as well.. =/

so many things to be done!!
inbox is flooded with emails regarding service skills proj.
haha. it has nv been so crowded b4.
i think now there is about 2-3 pages filled with service skills email.

Dear Lord, bless my day tomorrow! =)

Pslam 23 - Don Moen

Jesus my shepard and only provider
He makes me lie down in green pastures
He leads me beside the still water
He restores my soul

Surely goodness and mercy will follow me
All the days of my life
And i will dwell in His house forever
Until the end of time

Jesus my shepard and only provider
You make me lie down in green pasture
You lead me beside the still water
You restored my soul

Though i walk through the valley of shadows
I will not be afraid
Your rod and staff are my only comfort
And You'll be with me always

You prepared a table before me
In the prescence of my enemies
And You annoint my head with oil
And my cup overflows
My cup overflows with Your love
With Your love

Jesus my shepard and only provider
You make me lie down in green pastures
You lead me beside the still water
You restored my soul

a very nice song by don moen.
Jesus is indeed our shepard and only provider.
i'm glad to have been blessed.
the lyrics may not be very accurate because i cant find it on the net.
typed it out myself.. haha.

We're Crooked Souls Trying To Stay Up Straight.

Praise God Everyday!
haha.

thank God jap listening test was managable today.
ernest and matt was trying to kill me after the test for my attempts to speak jap.
haha.

went to eat dinner with them, then so brokeback that the three of us went to vivo 3rd lv and take a scenic view of our school over at the other island.
the merlion at night litted up with red glowing eyes, like some 'king of the devil island' like that. haha, + the word 'sentosa' at the gateway was litted up red initially made it looked like some devil island.

anw, the peacock 屁股开花 on wednesday. caught it on camera.
haha

woah, sexy butt of the peacock. hahahahaha.

somehow this angle doesn't seem as good the previous.

it feels great to be back at RITS on wednesday.
no more deployment, no more banquet set-ups, but service.

kena 'headwaiter' yesterday. haha.
leah came and laughed at me, so she kena 'captain'.
serve her right! LOL.
being headwaiter can be fun as well.
in actual fact, i just need to know what is happening in the restaurant, ask the guest how is their food? is it ok? is everything fine for u? then leave.
quite simple right?
but i tell u, it's a little scary to approach guests and ask them how is their food.
overall, i enjoyed myself. =)

MICE quiz today was not a quiz at all.
its 1 essay question 45min!
our lecture grp got Incentives tested.
i think i did badly. study until i sleep yesterday, or rather read. hahah
nothing much got into my head!
if i pass, praise God! if i fail, serve me right.

tomorrow is jap listening test!!
going to spam my ears with all the audio recording!
God bless me!

Praise God!
I will praise You all the days of my life!

God is really good.
trust me.
there is none like Him.

万民俯伏跪拜万口宣扬,
惜在今在永在全能君王。
颂赞能力爱戴归宝座羔羊
全地唱 全地唱哈利路哑。

this song kept coming into my mind on my way home.
indeed, all knees shall bow and all mouth shall praise,
the Lord who was, who is, and who is to come.
glory, honour and power belongs to the Lamb of God,
all the earth shall sing 'Hallelujah!'

i really thank God for giving me the opportunity to serve Him during prayer meetings.
its not how good i am, but how God wants to use me.
when i was singing, there was a period of free flow.
so i just flowed, and sing in the spirit.
suddenly, i think i was attacked.
the thought came in "am i singing it right? i seem to be singing different things from the others."
then, bro daniel came and told me, continue singing, be more daring to sing it out, you're singing well.
btw, daniel was sitting at the back, while i was in the front.
he came over just to tell me.
how powerful is that?
maybe u can't feel how i feel, but definitely it is God's work.
His affirming me through another brother when i was attacked spiritually.
i didnt say out what came into my mind, i didnt show any signs of inconfidence in my voice, but yet God knows.
and He affirms me through another brother.
i am really thankful. =)

after the prayer meeting, i went over to tell danial that he really had affirmed me.
he didnt know i was attacked obviously.
anw, he told me that he saw me worshipping and praising the Lord.
worshipping Him in the spirit.
and i should really continue trying to worship Him in tongues and in the spirit, singing it out.
the other time during the prayer before youth christmas party last year, the same thing happened also.
mary was asking us to freeflow worship, in tongues, in spirit.
then i really felt that i could do it, so i went ahead, and the affirmation came.
mary walked over and asked me to just let it out, let it flow.
and today, danial told me to just go on with it, flow, let it out, practice and breakthrough in worship.
its two times now that two person have told me to worship in tongues.
i'm going to grab this opportunity and develop this gift God gave me.
truely, to be able to serve as a vocalist is by the grace of God.
trust me, i'm still training myself to sing better each time i'm serving the Lord.

i'm just going to use my vocal to glorify the Lord!
all my life i'll testify!
i'll never stop serving until God tells me to. =)

FM lecture today was quite interesting.
haha.
had a guest speaker from pest buster talking to us about pest management.
the best way to keep pest out of your house is the decrease their population!
destroy the source that attracts them, rather than kill them.
surprisingly, cockroaches and rats are very resilient.
according to what he said, they are the only two species that can survive a nuclear!
they're disgusting, but yet so tough!
i heard that the best way to kill a cockroach is to whack it, rather than spray chemicals.
because if u spray your bygone on it and it escapes death, u can't use the same bygone to try to kill it again, because it had developed some form of resistance to the chemical.
what's worse, their kid will also inherit this resistance.
how disgusting?
if only we were made like this as well. haha.
but God made each creature unique, different from the others.
if not, how boring the world would be if everyone were the same!

anw, rats.
they're very amazing.
you'll freak out if you knew their abilities.
rats can swim!!
also, they can climb!!
swim + climb.
what does it equal to?
make a wild guess.
but i think you may not think of it..
rats, as u know love the sewers.
so much so that combined with the ability to climb, they climb up pipes.
yes.. you probably would have guessed it by now.
they can climb up the pipe, and pop up in your toilet bowl!!
and they can climb out of the toilet bowl as well!!
how agile and freaky!
the speaker shown us a short video clip on it!!
i saw it with my own eyes how they pop out of the toilet bowl!
the speaker added on that snakes may pop up as well.
why? because they eat rats, and they may be chasing it halfway just climb up the pipe with it and pop up to pay u a visit!
i felt disgusted and didnt want to use the toilet bowl! hahaha.
someone doing his business and a snake pop-ed up and destroyed his family line.
how cruel and dangerous!!
I"M AT RISK! hahaha.

Sunday, January 21, 2007

been lazing around over the weekends.
went church sat n sun, then went home, slack, play, eat, lie on my bed, strum strum.
haha.
tomorrow is monday, monday = long day = monday blue.

i cant type chinese in my com!!
tried looking for updates, but they don't have language pack!
grr.. but i have chinese software, just that i'm lazy to move the boxes and dig it out.
kinda mafan.
maybe when i'm feeling more hardworking, then i'll take it out.

service skills execution date coming soon! 14th feb!
so is the proposal submission deadline! 29th jan!

do some advertising first!
come to sentosa's tourism academy's restaurant on 14th feb!
heh.

Saturday, January 20, 2007

sianzz.
today last min rmb got service learning log to do! haha
jia lat man.. almost forgot about it.. deadline was yest..
luckily in between jap lect n jap tut for 3 hrs break.
first time learning log wrote so much about SGC.
i didn't complain much, because i learn so much!
ms daga was right, i learnt so many things that i don't wanna be in the future.

hai, feeling kinda sian now.
maybe i'm right?
i'm not too sure.

wakarimasen. X_X.

hurray!
handed in FM assignment today! haha
felt relieved.
now, concentrate fully on two projects, service skills and jap role-play.

thinking back, enhan had really weird suggestions when i told him i'm taking jap, and i need to write a script to do a role-play to display jap culture and to speak with fluency.
he kept suggesting to do extra-marital affair (EMA), which many jap men always have.
maybe he mistaken EMA to be their culture. HAHA
it's his job as a counsellor that gave him this weird idea.
but still, it sounds great! just too bad i cant do that, i may fail jap if i do that. hah.

i've been eating lot's of junk this week.
MON: cup noodles and fan choy for lunch.
TUES: 1 kit kat, 1 bar of sweets.
WED: 1 kit kat cookie dough bar.
THURS: oily LJS, ben & jerry's i/c, 1 bar violet crunch.
up till now, i feel unhealthy.. =(
maybe i eating so much junk is because of a bit of stress. haha.
had cravings for sweets, but i guess the cravings are gone, now that i ate so much chocolate n junk.
whole body feelings so sweet now!
better brush my teeth harder b4 i sleep. lol.

Thursday, January 18, 2007

yay! i'm so happy!
no more deployment to sgc anymore!
hahah. today was the last day.
what did i do?
as usual, carry heavy tables.
this time round, the lift was on maintenance!!
carried them up by stairs! nightmare.
and today i had to give my appraisal form to kelvin.
he was so irritating again!
i can see that he just anyhow fill in, then say, "there, 20/30, pass le loh."
he doesnt seem interested.
and my deployment there, i didnt even apply any service skills!
carry tables and chairs.. how is he gg to appraise me?
all the while he was in his office, nv see me work.
but of cos, must he be there to see how i carry tables? so lame
haha
but nvm, at least its over.

i'm so happy agian! because i finish doing my FM assignment!
haha, wheee! handing it up tml.
though i think i did my cover page quite ulgy-ly.
but i cant be bothered lah.
so tired now!
tml do jap translation, do CRASE weekly report. sianzzzzzz

today i took a cab down to school!!
i was forced to!
left my house too late..
supposed to reach at 2pm, so i left at 1245pm..
little did i know, i just didn't feel like walking to the station (which takes 15min of fast walking), so i decided to wait for the bus, as i saw that there are people waiting for bus 9, which indicates that bus 9 may be arriving soon because got queue.
i waited and waited, all the way until 1310!!
no bus 9 yet! i really regretted not walking.
and when bus 9 came, 2 came together..
how efficient SBS is huh?
increase fare price by 1cent per yr and bus 9 comes 2 at a time?
and it happened quite frequently.
so i had no choice but to cab down to school, if not i would be late for my FM quiz!!
darn, going to forfeit lunch for the next 4 days to cover the cost. haha.
anw, the cab uncle is very nice.
this auntie came later than me, stood infront of me, and when she saw the cab, she chiong infront of me while i stayed invariant and fuming, mind wanting to curse and hurl swear words at her. hahaha.
ok, i didnt hurl or think of any swear words, but i was just stunned and wanted to smack her face with my slippers.
the cab uncle saw it, and he slow down, drove right pass her, and stopped infront of me.
hahaah, i was amazed and shocked! but PTL!
i wanted to see how the auntie reacted, but i didnt bother to look back.
the auntie was quite lucky that there was another cab behind.
so, i reached school at about 1345.
in time for fm quiz. thank God that i wasn't late, though i incurred $14.50.
haha.
so... i didnt really do well for the quiz. haiz.
guess i didnt study enough. i was quite sad.
but God gave me a surprise during accountings!
tcher gave back our mid-sem test paper.
and PTL i scored A! =D
i hope this will help to cover for the poorly done class test.
and i pray that i can do well for my accountings this sem =)

wanted to go prayer meeting today, but i had to stay home to do fm assignment.
kinda sianz. and i still have jap script translation, CRASE report to do!
i guess this whole week i have to coop myself up at home to complete them. =/

its wednesday again.
having deployment. maybe another day of pure hard labour again. haha.
but this week is the last week, so having appraisal..
hope it turns out well!!

Monday, January 15, 2007

ah.
i'm sick.

Sick
Of
Facilities
Management.

i still cannot accept the fact that there is quiz already tml.
and accounting tutorials uncompleted, due tml.
but nvm, shall abandon acct tutorials.
mug last min tml morning for fm 20 mcq que quiz which takes up 10% of the total coursework component.
quite tired now.
typed a few lines for fm assignment.
guess i'm going down again to tmft to try to clear some things up, and try to steal a few snap shots of the area.
haha. it's illegal to take pictures in there.
but i shall try to take the risk..

anw, on top of all these, i have FBO CRASE report to submit!
its a weekly report.
CRASE is a restaurant simulator, and we're settign up a restaurant in there.
its all dollars and sense.
its not too difficult like the FBO pbl project, but its much simpler.
all we need to do is to make necessary adjustments to the price, marketing effort, wages, food quality etc.
it's really just all dollars and sense.
and each week, we receive the balance sheet, and we have to analyse the situation we are in.
after which, we make changes and see if we are making money.
it seems quite interesting.
my grp's restaurant made a loss of $15,000++
haha, how great is that?
there was only one grp who made a profit of $20,000++
but my grp was ranked 2nd, meaning all the other grps in my class made a loss.
the best among the losers huh! hahaha.
anw, thank God that mr goh allowed us to hand in the weekly report by fri 5pm.
if not, it would be by tml 5pm, and i'll be plucking my hair now.

Sunday, January 14, 2007

PROJECTS = the ROOT of all problems.

Phew!

just completed writing the jap script.
its still in english though, have to translate.
i havent done much during the weekends!!
its no good..
i have accounting tutorials to clear by tues morn
FM assignment to be done lastest by thurs, which i have to do it tml
and that damn FM quiz!
FM FM FM.
it's so irritating! so many things.
it's really getting on my nerves.
first, the PBL was combined with lodging.
and the FM component had a lot to be searched on.
then do site visit at rasa sentosa, now individual assignment and quiz!!
how convenient it is for them to be in the same week.
i really don't like my mon, tues and wed.
mon is packed from 10am-6pm, tues got accounting tutorials to submit, wed got deployment!
thurs is still not bad, and fri is fun because of the 3 hrs break and fun jap tutorials.
my week starts off quite badly, and ends badly as well.
especially on sat and sun.
it leaves me feeling guilty for not doing any work on sat and sun, on top of that, it leaves me in a huge dilemma.
to go out with my brothers, or stay confined for the weekend doing proj?
both have their pros and cons, but obviously if there is no proj, i will not be caught in it.
therefore, PROJECTS = the ROOT of all problems!
haha.

it takes two to tango.

2, two, er, ni, deux.
it takes two.
almost everything takes two.
it takes
two hands to clap,
two fingers to snap.
two mouth to argue,
two ideas to clash.

it's almost to have any reaction when you only have one.
think about chemistry, u need at least two elements in order to have a reaction.
no man is an island.
it's impossible to live alone, and its impossible to have a reaction with only one object.

God wants to have a relationship with us, a close one like a father and son.
He is our best friend, our all in all.
but all this cannot happen if it is only one-sided.
it takes two.
therefore, to have a good relationship, it's two way.
even if it ends up in arguement, it is still purposeful and fruitful.
it teaches us how we are uniquely special and different from others.
relationships that have gone through many trials will be strong, for out of trial comes perserverance.
faith purified, patience fortified, and character sanctified.

Thursday, January 11, 2007

waahh.
today is a beautiful day!
although i didn't really like that fact that it rained the whole day.

at least my slippers didnt stink, after much scrubbing and washing.
but i don't know if it will tml. haha.
hope not.

went to tanah merah ferry terminal today after school with ernest!
felt quite reluctant to go there due to the mental tiredness and psychological factors which took my motivation, but in the end we did.
went bedok to eat dinner first, and i couldn't find the hakka yong tau foo stall!!
where did it go??!!
my appetite was kinda turned off when i realise it didn't exist in bedok anymore.
so settled for fatty char siew + roast meat rice.
added carrot cake and otak to the meal.
anw, i just realised that tmft is quite big!
its super inaccessible.
all these while going senggarang, i've been cabbing there with tamp gang.
and today's my first time taking a bus there. haha.
its quite fun doing my field assignment on that place.
they didn't have any floor plan layout available to public, so we sketched out the skeleton.
and i think i drew it horribly.
i failed my art in sec 2 i remember. teacher gave me 50 marks, then 50 - 1. so 49.
i don't know why she wrote 50, then -1.
but it didnt really matter, i'm not really into drawing. haha.
at least now i can use computer lines and curves to draw out the layout.
tmft seems to be a small and cosy place to do the field assignment.
unlike the airport, which is so big.
and many people are doing on the airport.
i think only me and ernest are doing tmft.
walking around the perimeters, standing around observing, and looking out into the sea.
it was so beautiful. it felt real good to look out into the sea.
just that the sad thing is the one beside me is a guy, not even at least a girl!
quite broke-back.
i rmb i heard that junming and yunjian were dunno where lying on the grass star-gazing.
and both of them were hoping the other to be a girl. haha.
ernest went tmft last week, and the policeman thought he was a contractor!
he definitely looked suspicious walking around with pen taking notes, and probably with his trademark popular plastic bag. LOL.
hard to not mistake his as a suspicious character.

tomorrow having jap test!
on both language and culture!!
shall start mugging now, though its so late and last min.
haha.

Accident Prone

today is another day.
but its not just another day, its wednesday.
so as usual, i went to sgc for my deployment.
i heard that next week is the last deployment day!
thank God for that! =)

so today, was even worse that last week.
there was no function at all!!
and guess what i did?
i did all the manual labour, and its preparation for a function on sun!
i took all the dance floor pieces out, 18 of them all together, 3feet by 3feet each.
weight?? i'm not too sure.. its really quite heavy..
carrying one is alright, carrying 18?? its tiring..
and what's more, after i carried them out, i have to lay them myself!
so i have to carry again, and put piece them together!
woah, so altogether carried 18, but multiply by 2 = 36!
squat down, piece them, screw them together, align etc.
i almost couldn't walk straight when i stood up.
after that, me and the SP guy had to carry those really heavy tables.
mind you, carrying 10-20 of them, just the two of us, is a disaster.
disaster to us i mean.
i became so prone to accidents after fixing up the dance floor.
kept banging my fingers.
and when i left sgc, i injured my toe.
it was really a horror to me!
when we were so tired, it just happen so that one of the tables was spoilt!!!
we had to carry it down to the basement again!!! it was really horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!
cant express how tired i felt.
can't they buy lighter tablesSS?????
doing set-up, cant they find more ppleeee???
only me and the SP guy doing everything!
and tt captain just stand there, walk around..
i mean tt's fine, since u're the captain.
but u just ate at 1130, and when i went to the toilet at about 3pm, he was sitting down there, eating again!
what's wrong with him?? then he saw me, i think he felt a bit paiseh and faster go off and stop eating.
wa lao ehhh!!!!! hahahaha.
i'm basically just free labour............................................
well, nevermind.
i keep telling myself, when i do anything, i'm doing it for God, and will do my best.
hah. so i'm looking forward to the end of next wednesday!! yay!!!!!!!!!!

Monday, January 08, 2007

Praise the Lord! haha
last night then i realised i forgot to study for mice interview today!
but thank God it went well..
tutor asked 2 ques, which i think i did good for first que, but not the 2nd one..
but still, Praise God That I Still Managed To Answer & Not Keep My Mouth Shut!
haha. =)

mice project 2 is over, now what's left is service skills excution day and fac mgt individual!!
i guess i'm going to choose tanah merah ferry terminal for my fac mgt individual assignment.
it seems smaller, as compared to the airport and hotels.
i hope i can do it right at least... fac mgt is difficult! i hope i dun fail and repeat this sub!!
repeating this subject means going back to sentosa just only for that subject!
pray hard!!

anw, service skills execution day happens to be on feb 14!!
those reading my blog please take note of this date!!
come and visit RITS if u can make it!!
its students serving in the restaurant, and i will be one of them =)
hahaha. yea.. so come and show your support!!

no more reflections! ='(

oh man.
i'm just addicted.
i'm addicted to jap! haha.
since young, we've been exposed to a lot of japanese stuff.
used to watch power rangers, transformers, gundam, digimon, pokemon, dragonball, megaman, street fighter etc.
haha, all these were created by the japanese!
i remember last time how digimon make all the primary school boys craze over them.
i didnt own one last time, so what we did was take those rectangular country eraser and draw the digimon toys out. hahaha.
so dumb when i think back!
and during secondary school, those pokemon cards were like worth diamonds!
the japs really had their way of making people craze over their products.
what holographic cards lah, rare cards..
its just like demand and supply..
and people make $$ out of them..
even school boys who so lucky happen to own the rare cards sold them to other people to earn extra pocket money.
mind you, $10 $20 last time during secondary school is a lot! haha.

anw, the japs are just so creative!
their anime is superb as well!
naruto, bleach rock!
although naruto anime now is filler episodes, the original storyline and manga is really exhilarating!
and bleach, oh man, its just so exciting!
so far, i've watched full metal alchemist, full metal panic, naruto, bleach, yakitate japan, shaman king, school rumble and death note!
they are all so enticing, all so funny!
oh yes, and now, death note sweeping all over the world!
its just so ingenious!
the way light kills and escapes, it just shows that human are very cunning.
and it also really shows that stupidity kills. hahaha.
other than that, it really struck me that there really are criminals out there left unpunished!
but is killing them the way?
it makes the 'justice doer' a criminal as well, since he is killing criminals..
criminal or not, killing is just wrong.
how should they be punished?
hmm.. well.. tt's a very debatable topic.

anw, other than jap animes, movies and manga, their music rock too!
especially their rock! haha.
started out with L'Arc~en~Ciel, then a little of X-japan.
then a little of Orange Range, Do As Infinity, Aikawa Nanase and Ayumi Hamasaki!
their rock is really really very different from eng rock.
u have to check them out urself to hear the difference.
they're superb!

*yawn*
kinda tired already now.
didnt attend pinjun's wedding today!!
arghhh... just to do mice..
but well, i really have no other choice..
tml having discipleship at 9am..tmm gathering at 2pm..
i hope i can attend the gathering.. as i can predict that i may have to go off halfway to do mice..
hahaha. pray pray!!
back to mice!

wa.
today was quite a good day. haha.
yesterday wasnt so bad as well.
just that i was all exhausted.
SGC yest wasnt so bad, at least their attitude.
as for kelvin, well, he's still the same.
sugu is a nice captain, at least his tone is 100 times much better than kelvin's.
i shall not mention what kelvin asked me to do, but yest all i did was carry things around.
and it's really nothing else better to do. haha.
yesterday there was only one function going on, and its for 13 people.
in the end, 6 people turned up, so my buddy was doing the serving.
as for me, i was slogging downstairs carrying table, packing storeroom etc.
muscles felt so sore after that.
but well, can't blame them.
sugu asked me to do that.
least he's much better than kelvin. heh.
met this guy from SP.
quite a nice fellow.
i pity that he is there for ATTACHMENT.
for 5 mth. pay is pathetic.
he had to work in all deptin sgc, and banquet was the last.
even he knows kelvin attitude.
well, i pray hard i'll never get attached to sentosa to do my internship. haha.

today, i had a very weird dream this morning.
and it left me feeling very horrible when i woke up.
it was so vivid, and.. i just felt so horrible.
so powerless and vulnerable.
i don't know how to describe how i felt.
left me feeling worried and confused the whole day, between reality and dreams.
i really hope this dream will never come true.
how ironic? always wishing that our dreams will come true, but not bad dreams.
i pray hard..

anw, it poured really heavily during the late afternoon.
when i got out of the simei station to the bus stop, my feet was wet already.
and the shelter from east point to bus stop seems to just a 'hua ping'
totally no use at all!
purpose of shelter is to keep us dry, but it seems that the shelter broke, although it looks perfectly 'hole-less'.
the water was gushing down like a mini waterfall.
and how coincidental, bus 9 came.
so i ran underneath the 'shelter' and my whole back was wet.
boarded the bus.
when i alighted, i was drenched already.
so i waited at the bus stop for the rain to stop, when my house is just 5 min walk away.
praying hard to God for an umbrella/rain stop etc, bus 12 came.
out of the bus 12, was this changkat changi girl, holding a big, singtel umbrella.
i saw her, she saw me, and we shared the umbrella across the road.
hahahaha.
thank God for that!
btw, it was my sister. =P
she didnt want to share the umbrella, though its big. lol

oh yea, got my photos from the corporate photoshot.
it is supposed to make us look professional and suitable for resumes.
here it is..

hahaha. had a shock of your life?
it looks as if the put make up on me.
and i look so fair, much fairer than i am now.
it reminded me of death note 2's beginning with shiori's picture hung so big at the funeral.
so i guess i have a photo hang now when i die. hahaha.

well, thats all for my day.
its not really exciting, but i pray things will be well.
back to MICE!

Reflections: Part 2, Spiritual Aspects

after some time, its time to do my reflections part 2. haha.
enough about school, time for spiritual reflection.

i feel that i've been very inconsistent throughout this year.
honestly, i havent been having my quiet time regularly and faithfully.
sometimes, they're just carried out half-heartedly.
although this qt thing have been emphasized for years by my beloved pastors, mentors and leaders, sometimes its just hard to do it.
i rmb i was still in sec sch when i first heard of qt.
i was just so lazy to do it.
but at least if i compare since sec sch till now, there's definitely an improvement. =)
so now, i have to double up on my efforts to do my qt, even when i'm very busy.
in terms of prayer, if it can be measured, i've improved a little.
mada mada dane!
of cos, i don't think that i'm fervent enough in my prayers.
pride is still one thing which i have to clear away when i serve God.
as a cell leader, vocalist and guitarist, it gets harder and harder.
i'm not a cut better than the rest.
put it another way, there are tons more people out there who are much more capable than me.
people who are more eligible to be a cell leader, sings better and plays better.
but yet, i want to serve God.
i don't know what i can do for Him, but i know i will put in my best effort to please Him and glorify Him.
then comes this big problem, pride and laziness.
it is difficult to deal with it at times.
sometimes i just get attacked when i'm serving, thinking that i'm really good and better than the rest.
the truth is, God will take away the privilege of serving Him if keep thinking like that.
what God wants is a humble servant.

'Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.' Philippians 2:3-4

Christ came, not to seek out the holy and the righteous, but the weak and sinners.
Christ came, not to be served, but to serve.
who am i then, to be served?
who am i then, if i pass judgement on others?
i really need to learn and master the art of humility with my life.

'Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life—in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing.' Philippians 2:14-16

this particular verse, struck me during the worship team retreat.
God showed me that i've been complaining a lot, especially since i went TAS.
the piles of projects to be done, deadlines to be met..
so when i complain so much, how will it be possible that i become a reflector of Christ?
how will it be possible for me to become an instrument of God?
how will it be possible for me to impact the life of others?

so in conclusion, areas of my life which i have to clean up:

  • stop complaining
  • sweep pride out
  • shoo out laziness

areas of my life i need to work on:

  • humility
  • regular quiet time
  • unconditional love for others, regardless they are cute or not.

i'm tired alrdy!
do my next reflection another time!
