shoiks!
the end of DPD and E-biz!
the biggest headache we thought was business enterprise, but it turned out to be DPD (destination planning & development).
seriously! when we submitted, we saw some other pple's project was 3cm thick.
it was crazy.
made us feel what we submitted deserved to fail.
wat was required was a 30 slide report, meaning they had tons of appendix.
30 sildes?
who the hell submits a report in ppt slides?
DPD was the first report we ever handed in on slides.
haha.

but i really hope that i can pass the project with at least a C.
super last minute and handicapped at the last moment.

and for the first time in my life, i stayed up for 32hrs.
woke up at 5am, went to peihwa to teach, go sch do proj.
go tutorial, go worship prac, go matt's hse overnight.
morning go sch at 8am to settle ebiz and print.
and end up 12+pm then reach home.
woah. no joke man.

but well, its over.
thank God for that.
and SIP is coming.
meaning graduating soon.
thank God poly is only 3 years and i'm at my last now.
i so hate projs man. hahaha.

can u believe it?
i actually lost my voice on fri.
and now its recovering.
i guess the reason i lost my voice was because of scolding the kids at pei hwa.
they look so innocent and cute.
but behind that mask lies a devil waiting to ensnare you when you let your guard down.
giving trouble and wrecking havoc.
come to think about it, i think i was like that when i was in pri sch. haha.
it's inevitable that teachers will always have to scold students.
i just have to get used to scolding them and repeating the cycle all over again everyday.
it's part of primary school life and growing up.
well, they're a mirror image of what i was during primary school.

in any case, my voice is recovering and i'm sure it'll be back tml!
having Biz Enterprise presentation tml.
the worse nightmare.
but going through countless of presentations in my poly life has made me feel 'it's just another presentation'.
is it good or bad?
good in the sense that i have confidence.
bad in the sense that i may slacken in preparation.

ahhhhh! OB submission tml.
but i'm sure it will be ok.
in fact, i'm looking forward to the presentation on wed! haha
bet its gonna be fun!

wahhhh..
teaching at pei hwa is no joke man.
wake up at 515am on tues wed thurs.
having blocked nose now.
somemore facing the stress of project deadlines and presentation.
rarrrrrrrrrrrrr!

tt's ok i suppose.
it's to train me up to take stress.
physical n mental.
maybe mental stress isnt that heavy, or maybe i can handle.
but physical stress is so different.
really mind really say i have to go on, but body says u need to rest.
i dunno. i'm caught in between.
haha. but i'm still getting on fine.

tml Biz enterprise proj is due.
one big stupid headache.
consultation sessions arent really that helpful.
and it was so tough to think of a business to set up, make sure it is profitable, and make sure there's a market demand for it.
ahhh.... well. no point talking abt that now.
haha.

ernest got his driving license!
damn cool. haha.
i must start taking driving lessons soon!
but ya... soon.
i dunno how soon.

i did an IQ n EQ test.
apparently both are about the same.
my IQ is 100, and EQ is 101. haha.
i must say the IQ test may be a little difficult.
did it at 1am, and the questions they asked were like difficult maths questions!

85 pple have HP
80 pple have pager
75 pple can speak 2 languages
70 wearing suit
if there are 100 pple in the room, how many will possess all 4 of the above mentioned?

i dun have the answer anw. hahah.
try doing this at 1am.
i got a little impatient and just skipped the que.
or maybe i havent been exercising the maths-part of my brian since secondary school.

in any case, my IQ is supposed to be higher. hahahahaha.
it was the time of the day that changed the results.. =p

oh well, jasmin says she miss the good old days at TAS.
LOL. she made it sound like we're so old alrdy.
thinking back, it was fun working with them.
talking shit to and with them.
i miss those dumb times too.
'OI! you suck!'
haha. its like a friendly greeting among us alrdy.

this was when i was bored during accounting tut. haha

and i'm not the owner of the bear.

it belongs to jasmin. hahah. always bringing soft toys to sch

just look at the slacker. hahaha

Here I Go Again by Casting Crowns
Father, hear my prayer
I need the perfect words
Words that he will hear
I know they're straight from You
I don't know what to say
I only know it hurts
To see my only friend slowly slip away

So maybe this time I'll speak the words of life
With Your fire in my eyes
But that old familiar fear is tearing at my words
What am I so afraid of
Cuz here I go again

Talking about the rain
And mulling over things that won't live past today
And as I dance around the truth
Time is not his friend
This might be the last chance to tell him that You love him
But here I go again, here I go again
it is very sad that enhan will be leaving for america soon.
he's going to study for 2 years and pursue what he has always wanted.
he knows clearly what God wants him to do.
on Maslow's hierarchy of needs, this is self-actualisation.

come to think of it, he has satisfied his:
- Psysiological needs (judging by his size)
- Safety needs (though sometimes he falls down, break half his front tooth, and cleaves his bed in half)
- Social needs (well-loved by friends and society. known as the 'auntie killer'. but still single.)
- Esteem needs (acheivements in his work, recognitions)

looking back, he has really left his impact in RYM.
i remember when i was pri 6, it was a phase of moving from sunday school to the youth ministry.
enhan sacrificed his time and does cell group with us on sunday mornings.
yiyi, jack, thomas, jeremy, ianrik, me.
we took turns to clear leave.
no such thing as OT.
cell leader more than cell members.
haha.
those were the days.
jeremy always have weird weird reasons for not coming cell.
like his sister got pingpong lah, his sister got swimming competition etc etc.
but what did it have to do with him coming to cell?
haha, we don't know.. up until now..

when i moved on to sec sch, he was still our mentor.
praying for us unceasingly.
cultivating his patience towards weird questions that were thrown to him (mostly by me).
tolerating our nonsense.
he's just such a good man.
he's looked up to as the catalyse of the youth.
getting our attention, making us involved.
it was good fun with him.

he is always very humourous and animated.
always dare to try new things.
such as dancing on stage during youth sunday, playing dota after much persuasion. haha.

spiritually very matured.
stable in all he does.
firm in what he believes and values.
very knowledgable n wise.
professional counsellor.
he definitely made an impact on everyone who had been in RYM.
i would say, i really learned a lot of things in life from him.
values, thinkings.

in short, i'll terribly miss him while he's gone.
7 years.
7 good years knowing him.
7 good years.

Psalm 78:39

we are a passing breeze that does not return.
what would you do with your life?

the seven deadly sins

The seven deadly sins:
1. Lust
2. Gluttony
3. Greed
4. Sloth
5. Wrath
6. Envy
7. Pride

1. Lust
Lust is usually thought of as involving obsessive or excessive thoughts or desires of a sexual nature.

2. Gluttony
An overindulgence of food and drink. Marked by unreasonable or unnecessary excess of consumption, Gluttony could also include certain forms of destructive behavior, especially for sport, or for its own sake. Substance abuse or binge drinking can be seen as examples of gluttony therefore, so it could be safely said that Gluttony is the overindulgence in any one thing.

3. Greed
Greed is, like Lust and Gluttony, a sin of excess. However, Greed (as seen by the Church) applied to the acquisition of wealth in particular.

4. Sloth
Describe as apathy, depression, and joylessness — the latter being viewed as being a refusal to enjoy the goodness of God and the world He created.

5. Wrath
Described as inordinate and uncontrolled feelings of hatred and anger. These feelings can manifest as vehement denial of the truth, both to others and in the form of self-denial, impatience with the procedure of law, and the desire to seek revenge outside of the workings of the justice system (such as engaging in vigilantism) and generally wishing to do evil or harm to others.

6. Envy
Envy is characterized by an insatiable desire. Desiring something that someone else has which they perceive themselves as lacking. Dante defined this as "love of one's own good perverted to a desire to deprive other men of theirs." In Dante's Purgatory, the punishment for the envious is to have their eyes sewn shut with wire, because they have gained sinful pleasure from seeing others brought lowly.

7. Pride
Pride is considered the original and most serious of the seven deadly sins, and indeed the ultimate source from which the others arise. It is identified as a desire to be more important or attractive than others, failing to give compliments to others though they may be deserving of them, and excessive love of self (especially holding self out of proper position toward God).

it's really amazing.
i recently discovered that my classmate's mum is in my church!
jack n zhenghua's mum, happens to be very very very good friends with audrey's mum.
heard that they played together when they were very young. haha.
it's quite interesting.
and she came to church today!
for 1st service!

she came with her parents, and her parents were very warm and friendly.
they took me to lunch with them, and i thought it was a bit weird. hahaha.
first time see them, first time talk to audrey face to face, and first time eating with a friend's parents whom i met for the first time.
lucky jack's mum was there as well.
if not, not only would i have thought it was weird, but felt awkward.
but well, it was ok and i was comfortable with it.
maybe i've become more thick-skinned already! haha.

i thank God that she could understand the sermon and seems quite receptive.
even though everything from worship to announcement to sermon was in mandarin.
so now, continue to pray pray and pray!
for the battle is not mine, but the Lord's! =)
