last year's christmas decor at orchard seemed to have been put up just moments ago.
now, christmas is here again and the year is coming to an end.
time really flies.
from a school boy to a soldier boy.
last christmas felt like yesterday.
i could vividly remember the excitement i felt for christmas, and 'hurry x'mas' by l'arc really brought me into the festive moood.
playing around in snow, feeling the cool of winter, everywhere covered in white..
this christmas?
a wet and green one.
playing around in mud, feeling the scorching heat of the day and drenched in sweat.
totally no mood for christmas.
ohhhhhhhh well.
the year is coming to an end..
and it's freaking fast!
ending of my internship, graduating from poly, going overseas to hk, working part-time at SVC, achieving silver for NAPFA test, getting my driving license (2 attempts!!), organising youth camp, taking part in renewal idol.
all were the fun times of this year.
until july enlistment.
BMT, SISPEC, and now armour infantry training.
it's not all that bad and un-enjoyable in the army.
there are really bad times, but just that in contrast with the bad times there are good ones as well.... haha.
ahhhh... come 2010, i will be a free man!
8th may 2010.
080510.
the 6 lucky number.
but before the magical 6 digit arrives, i had better get my life organised.
i should start looking for a uni now, despite my atrocious result!
*knock knock* set your azimuth please.

What am i so afraid of?
there is just too much uncertainty in life.
nothing seems to be confirmed until i've decided on my next move.
and when i decide on my next move, there is a great sense of uncertainty.
the fear of rejection, the fear of embarrassment, the fear of being seen as stupid.
how will i manage my life next time?
after attending kk and huiling's wedding today, it really provoked me to think of marriage as quite a scary thing.
i will have to be independent.
no more depending on my parents to feed me, but rather i'll be the one feeding others.
how will i be able to feed others when i myself is not fed?
what would i be doing in a few years time?
will my job be secure in the future to support my family next time?
looking at my dad, i guess i have to work hard for the things i want.
i guess in life there's still room for trial and error.
i guess, i'm just afraid of falling down.

after the torturous 28km route march, finally i'm now a corporal!
alright, no big deal. still just a small fry.
the only thing good is slightly higher allowance.
i swear i'm going to OOC (out-of-course) and not go through such shit again.
it left me with a painful feet and sore lower limbs.
i cant walk properly now.
the march was crazy.
overnight march with heavy load and no sleep.
this 28km march seems so different from bmt 24km.
everyone seems so lethargic and there were very little nonsense conversation going on, unlike during bmt 24km where most people were spurting rubbish everywhere.
honestly, at the 20km mark, i really really wanted to fall out.
but i think i was insane to push myself through and end up walking like a penguin now.
come monday i'll be reporting to my new unit!!
too bad it's not armour recce troop, but just armour.

i can't believe it!
i was actually selected for armour recce interview!
gosh, there must have been some problems with the admin side for asking me to go for the interview.
1. i am physically unfit for the job. IPPT pass only
2. i hate field camp
3. the training to be recce commander is crazy!
therefore, i responded 'not interested'. haha.
but even so, i might just get in to armour recce anyway.
the sgt who interviewed me told me that his friend wrote 'not interested' as well but still got posted to armour recce.
so well, i guess i'll just take the chance and put 'NO'.
i dun think they will want someone like me with just an IPPT pass. haha.
just another 2 more weeks and i'll pass out as a corporal!
this will mark the end of my training, and i will be posted out to some other places for even more training again.
more tough trainings to come . . .

'A' is for 'Ankle strain'!
run run run run.
10 kg on my body.
1km.
clear the obstacles.
final one: low ramp.
jump.
land.
unsteady.
fall to my right.
sat on my ankle.
honestly, i really thank God that i was still able to participate in the final navigation and field camp assessment despite the injury.
had i missed it, i would have to join other company to be assessed..
but right now, my ankle is hurting...
and i have IPPT test on thursday.
can't run properly and fast enough.
might just fail shuttle run, and SBJ again.
if i don't recover before thursday, i can kiss goodbye to my friday nights again...................

and now, the final one: Grandslam.
field camp was horrible with thunderstorm.
during the rain, exercise cut.
after the rain, exercise resume.
prone in mud, socks and boots wet, underwear wet wet.
gosh.
i haven't been dry for more than 20mins each day ever since tuesday.
sleeping in an area with ants, putting my ground sheet on top of mud, body itching all over because of heat rash . . .
it was really horrible.
grandslam will be on wednesday, and navigation on tues..
i really really pray that the weather will be fine and not rain.
rainy field camp is a horrible field camp.
praying for a better week ahead!
dear Lord, please bring my out of the forest safely and dryly.
please help me to find all the three trees that i am tasked to find with ease.
please prevent me from getting heat rash, funny insect bites, abrasion, foot rot and any other form of skin conditions and medical conditions.
please let me get enough rest each day.
please help me with the tasks that i am assigned to do and do them properly.
in Jesus name i pray, amen.

walk walk walk walk bash bash bash bash.
i hate navigation exercise.
it's just so difficult to keep on track in the forest.
and it is even more difficult to find one tree with signboard among millions of them.
locating that 2 trees during day time is already so frustrating, locating 1 tree at night makes me go '@#$%*^&!'.
well, suck it up. i have to do it again tml.
and one more time next mon.
2 field camps coming right up, 1 per week, goodbye my sleep.

even though now i'm booking in at mainland, the thought of starting another week at camp makes me feel heavy. dreading booking in..
it is definitely more physically demanding and we get to rest less.
lot's of things to study and remember, many exercises to do, little time to sleep.
oh dear Lord, please help me through this strenuous period and keep my health in the pink.
help me to get silver for ippt so i can book out on friday night.
thank you!

1 word: OUTSTANDING
1st week was really very packed.
very little admin time.
early lights out, early fall in.
got no time to go and shit, but got time to go do shit.
strength training really trained until my whole body breakdown.
kept doing push ups, sprint here and there, crunches, buddha claps etc for 1 hr.
could hear my muscles hurling vulgarities at the PTI.
do until tongue roll on the ground. haha.
but in the end . . . BIGGER MUSCLES!!!
just endure and endure!
so my own motto while doing strenous PTs: FOR BIGGER MUSCLES!!!

GOODBYE SAF BAND, HELLO SISPEC!
sian ar................
posted to sispec...
why i put 'yes' to command school?
perhaps if i didn't, i would have been posted to saf band. haha.
i just don't have the balls to try a 'no' and open new paths for myself.
probably because of peer pressure and uncertainty.
but being posted to sispec, or ocs, just seems like yet another ordinary singaporean.
our life is laid out for you nicely.
since young, education streaming EM1, 2 and 3.
take some piano lessons and try to act like some music prodigy.
then, secondary school go express, NA or NT.
after tt, JC, poly or ITE
u just try ur best, do well and excel.
then u will earn some recognition.
and now, aft BMT, most people either go SISPEC or OCS.
only the ones who dare to strike out for their own future go to unique vocations.
but the consequences of those who are in unique vocations: people look you with a different eye.
as if u're like some alien, some outcast.
oh well, what's done is done.
now all i have to do is to receive my wonderful times to come during SISPEC with open arms! haha.
i sound so wayang..........
anw, here's sth every recruit have to write b4 they leave BMT.
we can write anything we want, including vulgarities.

even though i've been sleeping quite a lot, like 8 hrs a day and i automatically wake up, i feel sickly.
i feel lethargic about 4 hours after i'm awake, and feel like i'm going to die by nightfall.
have i really really adapted to the military life so well that i'm now experiencing withdrawal symptoms?
perhaps . . . i should start exercising.
morning 5bx. afternoon CPT 1 + 60 120, and night time CPT 2 + strength training.
oh, what a joke. haha.

POP lo!!
sooooooooooooooooooooo happy!!
after the grueling 24km route march with about 8-10kg load, i feel like i'm a free man now! haha.
it's really shitty while going through the whole process.
"it's only another 2km more", "this is nothing man. 4km only to the next rest point. very fast one", "only 4x 4km more to complete the march".
i tell myself all these everytime.
it really works to motivate myself. haha.
along the way talking rubbish and singing songs with my friends.
i felt it was quite fun when i laughed at my friends about being shag.
"buddy, the word 'shag' is written all over your face! wipe them off! make it read 'energy'!"
i was all tired too, but talking nonsensical nonsense just took my mind off from the tired feeling.
right after the 24km march was the graduation parade.
can you believe it?
after the whole torturous march, a parade?
with my heavy field pack 4kg rifle helmet and heat trapping LBV, cannot move, cannot wipe sweat, and staying still for so long that your limbs become stiff yet you have to respond to the commands fast.
but you know what?
i am strong.
so it's ok.
no problem.
hahaha.
right now, my whole body is aching.
can't really walk properly, feet hurting.
i need a full body massage man . . .

just for the brief 45min buying my lunch at simei, the journey had not been easy.
i was so accident prone. almost.
1. tripped by drain cover
2. tripped by the open drain
3. hit my toe on the concrete
i think i've been wearing my boots for so long that i forget how to walk with slippers.
that i forget that my feet is now vulnerable to the external environment and i am no longer protected by the hardy boots.
well, at least thank God that i did not suffer from any serious injury that will affect me doing 24km route march on tues morning.. haha.
just some minor scraps.
2 more days to POP and i'm so happy!

5th sept, how was it spent?
well, in camp.
morn POP rehearsal.
afternoon about 2 hrs free time.
stand by everything all of the sudden to check for contraband items.
everything out from the cupboard, drawer and bag.
every bed sheet, pillow case and blanket checked.
not forgetting doing lots of push ups.
at night, mass bunk cleaning and packing up everything for book out.
gosh, my first most sian birthday.
a uniquely singapore experience. haha.

not so good a weekend
why?
because i'm sick.
but not for the whole weekend, it's just 3/4 of it i fell sick..
the 1st quarter when i was not sick was fun! haha.
went to church for the boardgames day after booking out.
won a cathay movie ticket!
so, anyone wants to date me for a movie when i'm having my block leave?
strictly at cathay cinema only.

thank God for the weather!
everytime when i hear my brothers talking about field camp and all, the one thing that never fail to dampen their spirits and demoralise them: thunderstorm.
i'm really really surprised that throughout the whole of my field camp last week, it only rained twice.
when?
once when it was at night and we were all back into the shelters of our basha.
the second while we were digging our graves in the morning.
no flooding, no proning in mud.
not too much of tekan-ing sessions.
overall, field camp was a really fun experience.
not that field camp is over, there's only a few more things to clear before i POP on 9th sept!!
ho ho ho!
i'm soooooooo looking forward to that!
apart from POP, i really pray that i can get into SAF band!
even though PES A people hardly get in..
but still, even the smallest glimpse of hope, i will try all i can to get into band!
booking in soon . . . = sian

i'm feeling half sian, and half looking forward to booking in.
this is so weird.
maybe i should look at it as if i'm working.
5 and 1/2 day work week.
exercise everyday.
do as i am told.
and press on with God's strength when i'm totally drained.
你恩典够我用
this song really touched me yesterday during worship.
enjoy the lyrics. =)

till next book out!

i'm finally back from the chalet.
serious, it really look and feel like a chalet!
i have to admit, living conditions is not what pple always imagined.
dirty, disgusting blah blah blah.
it's modern and really like a chalet! hahah.
the food is good too!
no joke!
at least i found it not bad.
unlike the past where u hear of horrible stories..
if dun believe, go n try la!
sign on and u will get to taste their food. ;)
i hate waking up at 0530 every morning.
it's dreadful.
i couldnt really adapt well during the first few days.
missed my friends and freedom sooooooooooo badly.
and especially on the first weekend, the first sat.
oh man, thinking of what i shld be doing and where i shld be, felt really sad and restricted.
but well, i had to get over it and adapt to this new life.
i'm quite getting used to all the exercises.
and in fact, i'm enjoying all my PTs.
maybe not the process, but after all the PTs, i feel good man.
but tired obviously.
i'm quite shocked that i can do 5 pull ups on the 1st day, 6 on 2nd, and 1 for the rest of the week until now.
it's really deproving man.
all my other friends do 10-20 easily like no kick to them.
and it's not just one day, it's everyday.
they go through the same training as i do.
i seriously dun understand man..
but it's ok. i dun really give a damn.
cos pple tell me that i will be able to do pull ups soon.
it's because my muscles are still recovering.
which i hope is the case. haha.
my first IPPT, i'm quite satisfied with the results.
though i fail because of pull ups, i'm quite satisfied with my 2.4km
i know it's still very slow, but it's still an achievement to me.
11m 22s, beating my best time of 11m 27s when i was in sec 3. hahah
my new haircut,
i shall post that some other time.
when i'm in camp, i thought i looked not tt bad in this hair.
cos everyone is the same..
but when i'm back home, it's really hideous! haha!

De-hair-ing
in a few more hours, i'll be driving down to pasir ris, and then take shuttle bus, then take boat to tekong.

lose my hair, light no hope
as the date draw near, i feel so heavy whenever i think about it.
it's a major renovation to my lifestyle.
a compulsory 'upgrading' programme by the gah-men. haha.
somehow, it seems like it will be the same as going back to secondary school.
waking up before the sun does, everything is scheduled and must follow timetable, must listen to what senior say, must listen to sergeant, must queue-up, fall in at parade square, sing national anthem blah blah blah.
a big change to my lifestyle man.

i feel like = 'Rojak'
that was on thursday.
after my driving lesson, i really felt like i was the worse driver ever on planet earth.
it was reallyyy horrible.
especially the crank course.
instructor: "look carefully! door handle pass curb immediately turn fully blah blah blah . . ."
but i cant seem to get it right!! oh man
instructor: "control you speed, slowly slowly. if u go fast, ur steering must be fast also. u go so fast, but ur steering so retarded . . ."
goshhhhhhhhhh. what was i to do man?
i felt really lousy, and really thought i will fail.
but as i feel lousy and think that i will fail, somehow i know that i will not fail and pass.
i feel a little comforted, but yet still very lousy and depressed, and still think i will fail.
but at the same time, i know i will pass..
i know God will help me, and i know God is with me and that i do not need to fear.
that's why, i feel like 'rojak'. hahaha.
but anw, really thank God!
i passed my driving! finally!
got my license!
if not for God, i would have mounted the curb during the crank course and bang on my horn and just leave the car halfway through the test. haha

youth camp was great!
it's super fun and exciting.
fun-filled, action packed camp.
kayaking and amazing race alone is enough to leave the youths breathless and sleepless. haha.
everyone in camp had very little sleep and this is the first camp to not have enough free time to play some card games and slack around.
this camp being the 2nd time i'm part of the camp comm, it's really very different from my 1st experience.
my 1st experience was during my secondary school band camp.
not as 'xiong' as this youth camp, but still got through and everyone enjoyed. haha.
and this camp, woah.
many things to prepare.
the painting of the banner itself already took up about 6hrs to draw and paint and dry.
and the drawing of the saboteur boards took 3-4 hrs too.
drew 70+ boards, and ended up with some stiff calves, cos we had to bend down on the floor.
the mass dance is really zai.
or rather, mess dance. haha.
even though it was messy, i really enjoyed myself thoroughly in the messiness.

i'm back from hongkong!! haha.
the experience was fun and exciting.
it is something very different from my australia trip last year.
this time we had to plan our own itinerary and find our way around hk.
took time to read maps, get our bearings, and look for places to visit and shop.
we ended up in a few bad places for shopping, because the places we found were mostly gucci, LV, bally, prada etc etc..
and lots of stuff for girls..
the best place to go is Lantau Island!
there is a mall called 'Citygate', where all the shops inside are outlets.
e.g. Esprit Outlet, Adidas Outlet, Nike Outlet blah blah blah.
so everything there is heavily discounted and you can get them at a damn good price.
apart from Citygate, Lantau is home to mr buddha, seated high on the mountain among the clouds.
it's really beautiful!
the cable car up the mountain was the best!
around 25mins.
when you go really high up, you might spot 'sun wu kong' riding some clouds.
visibility is all white, and the cables that sustains your life on the car disappears from sight.
reminds me of the traditional chinese mythology, as if in the celestial courts. haha.
at the village before reaching buddha on the mountain, it's like a dreamland.
chunks of white get blown by the wind in front of your eyes and makes you wonder if you would get blown away too. hah.
i shall update with photos again soon.
meanwhile, busy with camp preparation and getting my driving license!!
practical test on 6th june, this coming friday.
do keep me in prayers.
i must pass! i will pass!!

ok, it's been a long time.
my NS list . . .
i shall post it next time. hahahaha!
i'm at work now, yes, blogging again..
the gucci shop in front of me is closing their shuttles.
so are the other shops..
initially i wanted to go to taiwan, but it's so expensive!
air tix with jetstar costs about $600+++!
tried gg with travel agent's free n easy packages, best deal was $1060, including accommodation.
in the end, we settle for going to hongkong..
yup, $840 including air tix n accommodation..
the period we are gg is peak period la.. kinda sian,
but this is the best timing for us alrdy.
25th-29th may.
yup, so u wun be seeing me!!
i'll be in hongkong using octopus card to get around instead of ezlink.. haha.
travelling on MTRs, instead of MRTs..
i have been busy for the last few weeks.
feeling really tired. not enough slp, more things to do.
although not really a lot of things, but my weekends seem more to be like my weekdays.
i'm sooooo busy over the weekends.
for the whole of this week, i've been waking up in the middle of the night every night and find my nose blocked and dripping and sneezing.
it's really very irritating. i dunno why it happens.
i've never got my proper sleep for this week.
Lord, pls pls plssssssssssssssssssssssss do sth about it and rectify the error that occured in my body. hahah.
hmmm. so, immediately after live worship recording, we have to prepare for GDOP.
my church is leading the session at GDOP for the chinese congregation!
it's really a totally new experience and a new door God has opened for my church.
GDOP on is this coming sunday.
i'm sure it'll be a great one!

thank God for the live worship!
and the fact that it is over! haha.
the live worship over the past three days were great!
it was fun and exciting.
but yea, it was tiring as well.
we kept rehearsing every sunday and ran through at least twice per session..
and by sun (yesterday), i got kinda sick of the songs. haha.
sang the same things on fri, sat and sun..
sun for both the service.. a bit hard to worship by then already.
after the live worship, we (aaron, junming, deren, weiming n me) went to party world and scream our lungs out.
nearly caused major damage to our vocal folds.
what's more, after singing, we ordered sambal kangkong to eat! haha!
really out to chiong all those food that are not good for the throat.

0220: opened my house door and i walked in, feeling a little tired & sleepy.
i passed by the 10yrs old white marble dining table and saw something that i have been waiting for on it.
light red in colour, dotted edges.
CMPB/MOD.
*tuktuk* (my heart went).
i tore the edges, opened it up, and my heart sank.
by royal edict: '09 july 2008'
i don't want to go in so fast.
not now, i'm not soooooooooo prepared yet.
ahhh~ i guess i have to forfeit the korea trip.
09 july 2008.
it's like the bucket list.
knowing when i will die, i write a to-do list before i kick the bucket.
in the case, before i enlist and shave my head.
my NS list.

those bunch of tourists, damn!
really zai! haha.
made me feel like going to travel and go backpacking.
it seems so fun!
they came here and asked about the southern islands, going diving, spending the day at the beach.
compared to the mundanes like visiting the zoo, birdpark, sentosa . . .
all these are boring places to the youths.
youths, we have the vibe.
we have the hidden energy in us that makes us want to jump and scream out for joy.
looking at them, they are such a bunch of sun&fun loving people!
for a moment i wanted to go out to have fun with them.
i wished that i was in a boy's sch during my secondary school days.
it seems soooooooo much more fun to study in a boy's sch than a mixed.
you don't need to worry about being embarrased in front of a girl, you can just be the monkey that you were born to be and unleash ALL the hidden crazy sabo ideas on your friends.
and of cos be sabo-ed too. hahah.
well, the grass is always greener on the other end.
really zai! haha.

wohoo!
i'm working now again, and yes, blogging again for nothing much.
it's yet going to be another nonsensical entry with no purpose and meaning to it (which entry of mine ever had them?). haha.
working with sunway is quite interesting.
he has sooooooooo much junk mails to show me.
all those funny emails with hilarious scenes of people caught on footage being circulated around.
i wonder how i will react if i ever see my own being circulated. haha.
so, if u were bathing and someone entered the bathroom and start taking pictures of you, which part of you will you cover immediately?
ANS: ur face, not your privates. everyone's got them. it's just a matter of whose. haha.
so w/o ur face, it's quite pointless huh...
but actually, my answer would be: just turn around and face the wall. haha.

i'm still at work.
first time doing closing at transit 3.
and my first time doing 1330-0215, due to some rostering error made by kelly services. haha.
it's a long day at work, but not tiring.
at least i get more money.
so i was all alone at work since 1715.
i get a bit irritated when people ask me where their boarding gate is.
it's not just one.
they come in waves..
i stand up, answer the question, i sit down.
then 5 secs later i stand up, answer the same question, and i sit down again.
then 5 secs later, i stand up, and blah blah blah.
i answered the same query more than 10times within 3 minutes (inclusive of time explaining the location). haha.

It is interesting to explore under the Google ‘search’ entry to see what sort of things that my colleagues search for during work.
There are a few serious stuffs, but there are also some funny things.
I’m now at T3 transit counter. Haha.
Weird things that appear in the search entry:
- Boy (so . . . which part of ‘boy’ does he/she not understand?)
- Boboh Chacha
- Chendol
- Church at changi airport (why would there be a church at the airport?)
- DIY face mask
- Foo Keat (is this a street name in Singapore? or . . .?)
- H&M (what the hell is this?)
- Ice kachang
- Kanon wakeshima (must be pam or enli or tami searching for this. Haha.)
- Keat (must be Matilda searching for this. Hahahaha.)
- Latest ipod
- Latest Ipod rumour
- Mangosteen
- Non-toxic blusher
- Oily face foundation (ok, this one is interesting.)
- olpoiuutrwqwertutuyuiuiuiuiuty (erm . . . was he/she really that bored?? Haha.)
- Postbox terminal 3 Changi (the Internet really has the answer!! Amazing!)
- Rambutan
- Sign in (sign in to what? Haha.)
- The body shop
- torque-.blogspot.com (I wonder who searched for this blog. Haha. Must be some guy.)
- Vampire knight (must be some anime enthusiast)
Oh yes! And one more . . . no one can ever beat this.
The most zai thing I’ve ever seen being searched for!
- ‘how to please a boy’
hahah, why would someone be searching for that??!!
If it’s a girl, must be desperate.
If it’s a guy . . . erm . . . why not I recommend you a counsellor? Perhaps EnHan..
Or maybe you would need some spiritual healing. Hahaha.

woke up dead early today.
perhaps not as early as i need to for opening shift..
but for a regular sunday, waking up at 530am is unusual. haha.
today is the first time i've ever been to a methodist church.
its very interesting to see how another church run their service.
very different from my church, as mine is independent.
thank God that the whole service went on very smoothly, though there were some hiccups in the morning upon reaching the place and starting the worship practice.
but still, i've learnt my lesson that next time (if there is) i shld bring my own guitar there as a back up.
kinda bad if there are no contingency plans. haha.

today was a good day.
though in the morning i jumped up when i heard my alarm.
first time i jumped up from my sleep upon hearing it.
usually i'll be slowly opening my eyes and not hit the snooze button. haha.
FST shift was fun today!
though about 1 hr b4 i knock off came a more patience-challenging and sliva-wasting visitor.
but it all turned out well in the end.
i'll spare you the long long long details. =)
while on my way to church, i saw cheryl at simei.
it has been so long since i've last seen her.
even though she just stays around my area, first time seeing her again in abt 1 yr.
and what's more surprising, i met iskandar on the train!
i think it was about 3-4 yrs ago, ever since he graduated from junyuan.
he was the drum major of the band at that time.
so much has changed in just 3-4 yrs.
time really pass very very fast..
i'm graduating on 21st may, and will soon go to NS.
i really wonder what does God has in stall for me.
soooooo curious to get a peek at what the future holds..
God is just soooooo amazing.

blogging is like my best friend now all of the sudden.
for the 3rd time today (since i woke up and b4 i go to slp), i'm back here again to blog.
i really have nothing else better to do..
done the brochure order form, topped up brochures, no one to talk to . . .
haha. so i'm now talking to my blog.
jaren's chinese poem is CMI loh.
seems more like a prose that a poem. hahaha.
ok lah, i dun think i can do a better job than he can.
my chinese standard has dropped dramatically and i can't read and write properly anymore.
need the dictionary all the time..
and jaren is now at arr2 attempting to write a song.
i bet it would be for his future girlfriend.. haha.
he's always thinking about it, and his blog expresses it.
well, i'm thinking abt it too man.
coming 20yrs old alrdy leh!
age will catch up with me very fast..
by the time i finish NS, i'll be 22!
my colleagues are all quite surprised that i don't have a girlfriend and thinks that people my age should be having a girlfriend alrdy.
but not true leh!
at least for my brothers in church.... hahahaha!
in actual fact, being attached is like all over the streets.
i remember mentioning that everytime i walk on the streets, i see a pretty girl.
but the guy beside her is not really handsome or cool (though there are a few who are really good looking).
so i always tell myself 'alright man, i'll have a chance to get a pretty girl as my girlfriend too.' hahah.
ida mentioned about the uni openhouses, and all over she sees a botak head and a girl, botak head and a girl, botak head and a girl. lol.
i kinda pity both the botak head and the girl.
i wonder if they can reallllyyyy last.
although there are exceptional cases (which i really know of), most don't.
imagine b4 u go for field camp and u had a quarrel with ur girlfriend, and for the next 5 days you'll be feeling downcast.
digging your hole to sleep in, reduced to the lowest lifeform ever on earth. hahaha.
ahhhhhhhhhhhh. it's still better to just have a gf aft NS.
singlehood is good!
cheers to singlehood! =D
. . . . . .
maybe . . . i shld also start trying to write a song? haha. =x
for the 3rd time today (since i woke up and b4 i go to slp), i'm back here again to blog.
i really have nothing else better to do..
done the brochure order form, topped up brochures, no one to talk to . . .
haha. so i'm now talking to my blog.
jaren's chinese poem is CMI loh.
seems more like a prose that a poem. hahaha.
ok lah, i dun think i can do a better job than he can.
my chinese standard has dropped dramatically and i can't read and write properly anymore.
need the dictionary all the time..
and jaren is now at arr2 attempting to write a song.
i bet it would be for his future girlfriend.. haha.
he's always thinking about it, and his blog expresses it.
well, i'm thinking abt it too man.
coming 20yrs old alrdy leh!
age will catch up with me very fast..
by the time i finish NS, i'll be 22!
my colleagues are all quite surprised that i don't have a girlfriend and thinks that people my age should be having a girlfriend alrdy.
but not true leh!
at least for my brothers in church.... hahahaha!
in actual fact, being attached is like all over the streets.

i've never expected it.
at 1502, i arrived at the usual place to wait.
i felt the vibration in my pocket and as usual, either he may be a little late or might have already arrived.
but i didn't see him.
so i checked my cell and it read "sry driving test delay c u at 430 ok"
i've never expected it that this would happen.
i rushed down pespiring all over under the scorching sun and driving lesson was cancelled.
couldn't make it at 430pm though, cos working at 515pm.
so yup, i'm at work now blogging again.. hahaha.
i guess it is ok. there are always unforeseen situations that can happen anytime anywhere for whatever reason.
so.... between 3pm-515pm, what did i do?
i don't know why, but i felt kinda emo during that time.
i put on my headphones and started off switchfoot-ing until i felt it didn't suit me at that point in time.
so i switched to 'yuki no hana' by mika nakashima.
yup, it's the song that you are hearing now on my blog.
cool right? such an emo song.
the one on my ipod is not acoustic version though.
i really lovee this song a lot.
though i cannot understand what it says, but it is the emo feeling you get from hearing the song.
i know yuki no hana = snow flower. haha.
and maybe a few words here and there.
so, i arrived at the airport and went into the transit area.
sat down on one of the cushioned chairs and watched the aeroplanes land.
it was suchhhh an emo moment.
watching the aeroplanes outside with the beating sun while i'm inside comfortable with the air-con.
taking slow deep breaths, slouching on the chair, and spacing out.
the glass windows made the outside weather looking a little gray and cool.
and i emo-ed there for abt an hr before gg to change.. haha.

senior citizens in america rocking their hearts out!
imagine abt 50 yrs down the road and i'll be rocking on my guitar!
from choking speedy riffs all the way to sway with me.
ok, but for now, i'd love to rock!
or maybe . . . just finger-sync the riffs with the music at the back. haha.
today, i've learnt a few new stuff.
some complicated name such as 'maj min7', and 'min7 b5'.
haha. those stupid names.....
yea..
the notes in a scale that defines its characteristics are the 3rds and 7ths.
sth like tt.
like a flat 3rd and flat 7th of a major scale and u get minor scale
'maj min7', with 'maj' refering to the 3rd, and 'min7' to the 7th. haha.
so it's a chord with a maj 3rd, and a min 7.
woahh. sounds chim?
yes, i'm trying to act chim here.

i felt like i was stabbed in the back.
this Changi Senior Ambassodor came to my counter asking if i have a feedback form.
immediately i recognised the visitor beside her was the same guy i registered for the Free Singapore Tour.
i could see that he was very happy and i believed i've left a wonderful impression on him while i was serving him and registering him for the tour.
he asked for a feedback form.
i smiled at him and gave one to him
he told me the tour was very good.
then something unspoken and unexpected and weird happened in between that somehow he didn't want to fill in the feedback form i offered him.
the CSA lady was thinking if she had a feedback form, and i just told her that her counter should have, or may have..
then she left for her airport information counter to look for it.
and that indian guy went to the left baggage to get his stuff..
honeeeesssssttly, what did the CSA lady do such that he would rather write a feedback form for CAAS than for me?
the moment i told her that her counter should have a feedback form, she chiong-ed back to take.
goshhhhh, and that indian guy, u asked for a feedback form and it was just right in front of you, why didn't you take the one i offered and fill it in?
i doubt that the CSA lady did anything for him....... goshhhhhhhhh

yes, i'm at work now. hahaha. blogging during work..
tsk tsk tsk... not sth that i shld be doing..
i'm so happy to be back working at the airport.
it's much more peaceful and feels better to be here, especially in the transit area..
but somehow, working at orchard is good too!
the crowd that visits the SVC is so different.
the questions they ask are much more challenging than at the airport.
i use more of my while working at orchard.
youth camp!!
i'm soooooooo looking forward to it!
i wan to play and not sleep during camp and have sooooooooooooo much fun before i shave my head and wear green cap. haha.
but before shaving my head, i really hope that i can go to korea for the christian conference!
it'll be in late july, so praying hard that NS will be in sept or oct . . .
in the meantime, i need to work my ass off!
so many things that i need to do and use money.
1. save up for korea trip
2. pay for my own guitar lessons with moses
3. cab expenses that i have to pay for myself first, only getting money back next mth
4. money to fill up my stomach (this section is like almost 50% of my pay, hahaha)
i'm such a glutton.
i always say that i need to save money, cut down on the amt i am eating, but i end up not doing so!
i dun grow fat, maybe tt's why i don't see the need to eat lesser..
i must exercise self-control!

so many thanks to them!
thanks to shumin for the cranky ideas to pose n film, to cindy for the cool look on the face that makes it perfect, and angeline for filming for us. =)
and yes, thank You Lord.
it wouldnt have been possible if He didnt allow me to do it.
yes yes, thank you switchfoot and stream of praise for the wonderful songs.. haha.
editing the video was damn fun!
after a while, i got a bit sick of the video and had no more feelings for it.
but today, when it was being broadcasted during teens service and 2040 service, i felt great!
first time something i did is being shown during service.. haha.

i havent been blogging for a long time, again.
so, what have i been doing these days?
for the benefit of my loyal fan (like jaren), i shall update. hahaha
at the beginning of march, i went to hwa chong, again, to teach guitar sabbathical.
this time round, there were really much lesser people who signed up for guitar, and not to mention drums..
compared to last sept, the batch was really huge!
drum class have abt 30+ pple signing up, and guitar maybe abt 20+.
but this time, drum class only had 5.. hahaha.
and mine have abt 15 i think.. not too much of a diff for me..
well, it was definitely fun.
and more importantly, i got to know wenda more.
1 whole week of waking up at 545am and going to and fro from simei to hwa chong.
he lives in simei too, and drumming skills damn zai.
he's a very nice guy with a kali-pok hairstyle. haha.
after sabbathical, students were asking me if i were taking private.
honestly, i felt that i'm not ready for it man.
dont want to take too many things at this time.
but it'll be real fun and a good source of revenue if i'm taking private. hahahah.
oh well, i alrdy have a part-time job, which is back to SVC@ Changi.
working back at SVC feels good.
very used to the crazy shift work and already had my timetable planned out nicely.
just when everything seems at peace and good, STB suddenly wants to renovate the counters at airport!!
so this week, i can be considered as extra.
cos they do not need to much staff for the next few weeks....
therefore, i m posted to orchard SVC...
i dun wan to work there!!! gosh...........
2 shifts only: 915-415, and 345-1045.
both shifts are 7hrs only! wat a waste of time...
i spend abt 2 hrs travelling to and fro...
and the timing seems to be kinda screwed for me..
especially when i've planned out and tried to fix some of my must-do-list-b4-shaving-my-head.
not really very happy abt it..
what's more, this week i'm working 2 days only!!
7hrs, 2 days = 14hrs of working this week.
maybe God wants me to take a break this week.
the past 4 days had been very packed and tiring for me.
and today, i'm going to have a good rest at home.

woah. today's an interesting day.
driving was supposed to be at 4pm.
but it got pushed back to 6pm.
reason: instructor went to collect his new car.
yes!! it's my first time driving a new car! haha.
other than him, i'm his first student to drive his new car!
everything is new, and smells all brand new.
clutch and accelerator is soft and feels good to step on..
car is quite quiet when driving..
just now at east point, i thought of gg to make a dental appointment..
i went in and i saw a familiar face!
who's that?!
it was my jap class tutor! haha.
she said: "ahhh, wenqi."
me: "ahh, shigeta-san."
she said: "konnichiwa"
i went: "er, konbanwa" (it was 7pm alrdy. hahaha)
apparently she went there to put bracers.
while walking back home past the station, i saw another familiar person.
short hair, petite, wearing black, carrying black laptop backpack, and a black handbag.
wat a colour combination! haha.
ok, my colour combination skills are not so good also...
that person was enying.
hmmm, will be starting work real soon.
next monday will be gg to hwa chong, again, for guitar sabbathical.
this time i heard that response not so good, much lesser pple signed up.
15!
but when i heard abt the drums side, i thank God for 15 pple. hahahahaha. opppss...

haiiiiiiiiiiii
initially i wanted to change my strings.
but in the end, i bought back that same set which i do not want!
when i was at yamaha, i was thinking "what was the type of strings that i bought the other time and didnt like it? the strings were a bit weird."
as i couldn't remember, i just grabbed one off the rack and i hit the jackpot.
i bought back that very same set!!!!
the set strings that i didnt want are the ribbon wound ones.
the feeling of the string is a bit weird..
very very flat.
not like the usual type.

Losers stay at home
haha.
today is valentine's day.
the most stupidest day ever.
who the hell came up with this idea of valentine's day?
just because of some guy named valentine died. haha.
weirrddd..
ok ok, just because i got no date doesnt mean i can curse and swear at valentine.
but seriously it's a stupid day.
restaurant prices rocket sky high, so do the flowers.
the only happiest people during valentine's day are the restaurant managers and flower shop aunties. haha.
apart from valentine's day, it's friendship day too..
i wonder who came up with this..
must be some loser staying at home with no hot dates to go and decided to declare it friendship day..
haha.

it's been a long time since i last blogged.
research paper is going well, just that i'm very slow at typing.
the chinese new year mood is like a 500tonnes iron ball chained to my feet. haha.
2500 words, and i'm only at 1500. need to write 1000 more.
where should i work after i graduate?
should i continue with STB or find another job for other experience?
rarrrrrrrrrr.
God, please tell me.

i seem to have chosen the wrong topic.
"Compare and evaluate the development of the historic ethnic thematic zones of Chinatown and Little India. Which in your opinion will provide a better visitor experience and why?"
me, having not activated my brain for almost 4-5 months, misinterpreted the question!
haha.
so dear readers, what do u think this question is asking?
what do you think should be the main focus of discussion?
chinatown? little india?
*tsk tsk tsk*
if so, you're the same! haven't been using your brains! haha.
ok ok, maybe you thought of something else, i'm just plain stupid and slow.
the main focus of discussion is supposed to be historical ethnic thematic zone!
not just limited to ctown n little india.
so what the hell is historical ethnic thematic zone?
would it be the same as heritage & cultural tourism?
singapore seems to be the only place that started this type of things. hahaha.
it's ok, i will search further and find an answer!

if so, you're the same! haven't been using your brains! haha.
ok ok, maybe you thought of something else, i'm just plain stupid and slow.
the main focus of discussion is supposed to be historical ethnic thematic zone!
not just limited to ctown n little india.
so what the hell is historical ethnic thematic zone?
would it be the same as heritage & cultural tourism?
singapore seems to be the only place that started this type of things. hahaha.
it's ok, i will search further and find an answer!

places like usa, canada, european countries, japan, korea, taiwan, hongkong, australia and nz . . .
how about T2? all the boring boring flights!
like egypt, south africa, russia, turkey, middle east, india and her neighbours, and our best friends from ASEAN.
really.... after T3 opened, hardly any soul come to T2.
i'm so bored at my counter.
it's 1am now and all the shops surrounding me have already brought their shuttles down.
since i started work, it's been so boring!
total number of pax i served today is 30 only!
9 hrs and i served 30 only?? tt's damn little and pathetic..........
really nothing else better to do.
no brochures for me to unpack, little brochures for me to top up, no brochures for me to order, very little people for me to serve.
worse of all, no pretty girls to see!!!
it's damn boring can?????? hahaha.
so what about my colleague?

wrote like a few good paragraphs and i lost my drive.
the only other thing that i did, which was productive, was reading the jamming material. haha!
ok, i'm supposed to read it ages before this morning, but i've only managed to read and digest half of it just now.

wooah.
i'm reporting live now at transit 1.
today work is full of fun and adventure! haha.
just now a jap tourist came, so funny.
i couldnt speak jap, so obviously as usual i called up my colleague Ee.
she needed to buy some medication as she was having a headache.
since she couldnt speak english, i brought her to the pharmacy to buy the medicine.
i walked out of my counter, and walked with full confidence of my direction.
as i walked, i was wondering 'where is guardian? why can't i find it? it's supposed to be somewhere here . . . . . .'
i called tami and asked 'where is guardian ar?? why can't i find it?'
'where u go? it's just in front of our counter behind burberry ma.'
'oh shit!! hahaha, i brought her to the 'C' side!'
so pai seh man!
i didn't know what to say, so i apologised to the lady.
'gomenasai gomenasai, ano . . . it's over there (act paiseh)'
hahaha.
finally reaching guardian, the pharmacist asked about her condition, which i couldn't translate to the obasan.
so i called Ee again, and found out that she wasnt having a headache, but stomach uncomfortable cos she drank too much alcohol. haha!
in the end, she bought the medication and was very thankful.
even though it wasnt required for me to bring my visitor around to get their stuff, i felt quite good and satisfied after helping her.
i guess this is what they call Go the Extra Mile for Service (GEMS). haha.
TERMINAL 3!!
everything there is finally opened!
went for a walk just now at t3 transit mall.
damn shoiK!! so fun and exciting!
it was filled with sooooooooooooooooooooooooo many people from all over the world and the feeling is so different!
i walked from t1 to t3.
my first step onto the carpet of t3 is like going through a new transformation!
the carpet is so new and feels a bit slippery.
the lighting is bright and fresh and all the chairs look soooooooooooooooo cushy!
there are so many shops inside the transit mall that it looks like another shopping centre!
imagine being on transit in a shopping mall with many comfortable cushioned chairs calling out to you to plant your butt there! haha.
and in the middle of the mall, there is a mini performance playing some smooth jazz & bossa nova.
there's a section where it's like a mini resort with armchairs for you to lie on
imagine a place shaded by trees, with rays of soft sunlight sparsely reaching onto the ground and the sound of cool running water to calm your senses.
like "aahhhhh~~~ . . ."
apart from these, T3 transit is almost like a mini clarke quay minus clubbing.
soooooooooooooo many eating outlets and quite a number of restaurants.
they have harry's bar, hard rock cafe, brewerks and several other smaller bars.
there's one restaurant called 'iLido' (i think) hanging humongous hams on their display window!
it's as if the flintstones use it for clubbing. haha.
overall, it's a totally new experience.
'take me down to the paradise city where the grass is green and the girls are pretty!'

kinda gay to post some pictures of 4 guys.
but i'm not gay, they're just so damn cool!
music is good. hahahaha.
i've been thinking about my future.
so what do i want to do?
i want to travel around the world! haha.
thinking about being an air steward.
apart from 'konnichiwa, how can i help you?', i can fly around the globe!
on top of that, it's basic salary + allowance. good money!
however, what's the price that i need to pay?
may not have time to enjoy the place i fly to.
work when everyone's off, and off when everyone's at work.
may get calls at 3am in the morning to pack up and get ready to fly all of the sudden.
get my body infested with radiation in the sky.
miss home-cooked meals.
affect serving in church.
can't attend cell regularly.
can't go service regularly.
hai, such a big trade off.
apart from an air steward, thinking of pursuing music!
but i'm alrdy 19 now, still have to serve NS.
by then i would be abt 22.
and i don't have any music certs or grades.
just an uncertified lousy musician. haha.
well, i can continue to build castles in the air for that..
what about office job?
they're kinda boring, but i can go to church, continue serving, get off days when my friends are off as well.
but this type of life for me now is so mundane and boring.
i hate the 9-6 timing from mon-fri.
raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!
which path should take?
the path that everyone else is taking, or pursue my interest?
oh Lord, can't this be made easier if u just tell me?
(just no mission work. hahahahaha.)
yay! i passed my FTT!
thank God for that! =)
i booked my practical test date on 6th june, i wonder if i can make it by then.... haha.
driving is not easy for me.
kinda hard to multi-task.
have to watch my front, check blind spots, check my back, look out for pedestrians, change gear when stopping, careful not to stall when stopping etc.
i think the most difficult thing for me now is getting the car moving!
firstly, have to fully depress clutch, then have to step accelerator.
but stepping the accelerator cannot step too hard, it's just lightly tap.
then after that half-clutch, find biting point, and step more accelerator.
sounds easy, but if u always play daytona, just jam the accelerator! haha!
i always have problems tapping the accelerator lightly.
and sometimes i end up releasing the clutch too fast, causing it to stall.
while trying to feel and coordinate my legs, i have to watch the traffic.
and sometimes when the cars at the back horn at me, it makes me a bit nervous. haha.
thank God for that! =)

i think medical checkup is fun! haha.
but not the final computer test part.
first thing was drawing blood!
i always hear friends saying that the medics there are noob, dunno how to draw blood, anyhow draw, poke wrongly blah blah blah.
but the medic who drew my blood seems quite alright.
it's true that they all look super noob and i think they might be.
luckily he only needed to poke once.
it's quite interesting to see my blood flow into the capsule.
looks like ribena.
wonder how it taste like. hahahahaha.
total i spent abt 6 hrs there.
everything was damn smooth until at the end.
queuing to use the computer to do the final test.
i think after that test today my IQ must have been really low.
every section there was a time limit, and some sections i couldn't finish in time.
damn frustrating!
maybe it's due to me not using enough of my brains lately..
and they asked maths questions!!!
i cant believe i didnt finish that section as well..
apart from maths, physics!! like WTH!! haha.
FYI, i failed all my physics CAs during sec 3 & 4.
the only times i pass were during SAs.
but surprisingly i got A2 during o levels.. haha.
anw, so what???
in the end i just clicked my way through.
the worse thing is, there was one section i completely don't understand what i am supposed to do!
the instructions on the computer was so vague and hard to comprehend.
i was like "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wth.........................."
(plus squeezing the computer screeen) hahaha.
really can lose patience one.
anw, i'm in PES A.
i hope after that brilliant computer test section i wun get into commandos or sth equivalent. haha.
