1 word: OUTSTANDING
1st week was really very packed.
very little admin time.
early lights out, early fall in.
got no time to go and shit, but got time to go do shit.
strength training really trained until my whole body breakdown.
kept doing push ups, sprint here and there, crunches, buddha claps etc for 1 hr.
could hear my muscles hurling vulgarities at the PTI.
do until tongue roll on the ground. haha.
but in the end . . . BIGGER MUSCLES!!!
just endure and endure!
so my own motto while doing strenous PTs: FOR BIGGER MUSCLES!!!

GOODBYE SAF BAND, HELLO SISPEC!
sian ar................
posted to sispec...
why i put 'yes' to command school?
perhaps if i didn't, i would have been posted to saf band. haha.
i just don't have the balls to try a 'no' and open new paths for myself.
probably because of peer pressure and uncertainty.
but being posted to sispec, or ocs, just seems like yet another ordinary singaporean.
our life is laid out for you nicely.
since young, education streaming EM1, 2 and 3.
take some piano lessons and try to act like some music prodigy.
then, secondary school go express, NA or NT.
after tt, JC, poly or ITE
u just try ur best, do well and excel.
then u will earn some recognition.
and now, aft BMT, most people either go SISPEC or OCS.
only the ones who dare to strike out for their own future go to unique vocations.
but the consequences of those who are in unique vocations: people look you with a different eye.
as if u're like some alien, some outcast.
oh well, what's done is done.
now all i have to do is to receive my wonderful times to come during SISPEC with open arms! haha.
i sound so wayang..........
anw, here's sth every recruit have to write b4 they leave BMT.
we can write anything we want, including vulgarities.

even though i've been sleeping quite a lot, like 8 hrs a day and i automatically wake up, i feel sickly.
i feel lethargic about 4 hours after i'm awake, and feel like i'm going to die by nightfall.
have i really really adapted to the military life so well that i'm now experiencing withdrawal symptoms?
perhaps . . . i should start exercising.
morning 5bx. afternoon CPT 1 + 60 120, and night time CPT 2 + strength training.
oh, what a joke. haha.

POP lo!!
sooooooooooooooooooooo happy!!
after the grueling 24km route march with about 8-10kg load, i feel like i'm a free man now! haha.
it's really shitty while going through the whole process.
"it's only another 2km more", "this is nothing man. 4km only to the next rest point. very fast one", "only 4x 4km more to complete the march".
i tell myself all these everytime.
it really works to motivate myself. haha.
along the way talking rubbish and singing songs with my friends.
i felt it was quite fun when i laughed at my friends about being shag.
"buddy, the word 'shag' is written all over your face! wipe them off! make it read 'energy'!"
i was all tired too, but talking nonsensical nonsense just took my mind off from the tired feeling.
right after the 24km march was the graduation parade.
can you believe it?
after the whole torturous march, a parade?
with my heavy field pack 4kg rifle helmet and heat trapping LBV, cannot move, cannot wipe sweat, and staying still for so long that your limbs become stiff yet you have to respond to the commands fast.
but you know what?
i am strong.
so it's ok.
no problem.
hahaha.
right now, my whole body is aching.
can't really walk properly, feet hurting.
i need a full body massage man . . .

just for the brief 45min buying my lunch at simei, the journey had not been easy.
i was so accident prone. almost.
1. tripped by drain cover
2. tripped by the open drain
3. hit my toe on the concrete
i think i've been wearing my boots for so long that i forget how to walk with slippers.
that i forget that my feet is now vulnerable to the external environment and i am no longer protected by the hardy boots.
well, at least thank God that i did not suffer from any serious injury that will affect me doing 24km route march on tues morning.. haha.
just some minor scraps.
2 more days to POP and i'm so happy!

5th sept, how was it spent?
well, in camp.
morn POP rehearsal.
afternoon about 2 hrs free time.
stand by everything all of the sudden to check for contraband items.
everything out from the cupboard, drawer and bag.
every bed sheet, pillow case and blanket checked.
not forgetting doing lots of push ups.
at night, mass bunk cleaning and packing up everything for book out.
gosh, my first most sian birthday.
a uniquely singapore experience. haha.
